Stone and Glass

It's easy to see through the looking glass.

For he has nothing to hide, he bears all

Casting out feelings, showing reflection

As a rainbow sprawling across a blue sky.

Pure as crystal, bright and clear.

For he is hard, yet brittle, he can shatter and break.

Stone is strong, hard to break, stands on its own

Yet gentle and full of feelings, polished in wisdom.

Shines like a diamond with a brilliance of beauty

Her eyes are like jewels as she stares at the glass.

He feels her reflection as she penetrates him.

He knows he is safe for the stone won't harm him.

The Trap

Just another Sunday and round and round I go.

It seems to me that sums up my life. That much I know

Round and round I go moving forward but going nowhere.

always being told what I am and what I'm not.

It seems like this book has been written

I’m just living the plot.

In which direction should I go but its always

round and round I know

And as I go round I see all my hopes

from the past shattered before me like

a pain of broken glass

So I sweep it up but than I know

round and round and round I go

So Clear

As I stand here gazing out my window.

Just taking a peek at the world outside

In a vision a back ground of mountains,

towards the sky.That reaches up

As my eyes turn down to look,

Towards the valley below.

I see five deer playing as there,

Running together to and fro.

I see birds flying coming to nest

Towards the valley below.

It is peaceful here in the valley,

As the winter slowly rolls away, and

to wash away her graySoon spring returns

Adding an abundances of colors bursting out,

The landscapes in a beautiful array.

A renewal of nature that happens each year.

It’s so beautiful in the valley,

Looking through a window that's

so clear

Always there

    The first time I saw your face,

Yes the very first time, I looked into your eyes.

I knew you were the one for me.

As if Gods hands have placed you here

So I can share the beauty

I have learned between you and I

Yes you stole my heart away from me

And as the years went by I stood,

In and out of the spotlight of your life.

Always wishing, always wanting that chance to tell you.

How my heartfelt about you each time I would see you.

Casting a smile at me when you would come my way.

And if you where with someone else,

I would turn with my head down and just walk away.

And now after all this time to have this life

Time dream come true.

You again show me by teaching me again

Who Will Build The Man  

Who will take the boy and turn him into a man.

Who will teach him right from wrong, and make him understand.

That all he rips in life he certainly will sow.

If your going to be an angry man,

it is loneliness he'll know.

Who will take the boy and make him stand tall.

Who will take the time it takes to show him how to fall.

Who will teach him to listen

and make those around him proud.

who will do all these things,

if the man is never around.

Father

Where were you long ago when I stood at you knee.

Where were you when I started to grow,

where I looked for you to come see.

Where were you father I asked ,

as I ran with the ball at school.

Where were you my father I asked

as I stood here looking like a fool.

You took my hope when I was young

told me you will never learn.

but as a father to a son you never,

gave me the time I deserved.

and now to see myself as you,

it brings tears to my eyes.

To know what you could have been

looking through these little boys eyes.

Pounding

    She hits me like a wave almost knocking me down.

As she pulls back again for another round.

I try to stand strong for these words she can say.

But in her mind there's a storm again she pounds away.  

She hits me again and back I fall to lie exhausted in the sand,

I'LL try to ride this storm today but why I don't understand.

  My mind is confused as my body gets worn,

I try to stand up ,but down I am thrown again

and again as it pounds away. I hope this storm would just leave for this day

Can We  

  Can we stop the war for it goes on?

And on Let mistakes go by so we can learn

Let I'm sorry ease the pain giving me doubt

, just shuts me down. Knocks the wind out of my sails

Makes me fell unwanted why confuses me

I just need to know
